How to Cure Chemical Disasters with Kang Zhang?

Major chemical disasters are low in occurrence but are very noteworthy regarding the loss of lives, injuries, ecological impact and assets damage. Frequency and harshness of chemical disasters has greater than before in last few years due to quick development of chemical and petrochemical industries, precisely in densely populated areas.  Chemical accidents can take place due to lack of safety measure, technical break down, or due to a human mistakes. It, thereby, starts with a series of uncontrolled chemical phenomenon such as runaway chemical feedbacks, large spills, fires and explosions. These phenomenon ultimately target both human and non-human in the form of instant and residual or long term penalties. Thus, it is crucial to develop defensive measures like adoption of safer engineering practices, better-quality safety devices and abolition of human errors by regular checks. It is, consequently, significant that if such conditions occur, intervention teams need to act fa

Importance of Chemical Engineering in Day-to-Day Life – Kang Zhang

If we talk about the application of chemical science or chemistry, then nothing can be get away to be counted in its area. Everything by which we are surrounded is made of some substance and to know the nature and property of that substance, chemical science is only the way out. New researchers can be done only if there is acute and accurate property knowledge of materials. Nano technology is possible only by chemical science applications. This does not end here, there are many other areas where scientists are applying the chemical engineering with physics and environmental science to innovate the novel ideas and matters.  Chemical engineering is giving the world a new prospect to think and work on. The idea of reduce, recycle and reuse is also application of chemical engineering. From creating new materials to balancing the nutrition of crops by genetic modification, everywhere the chemical engineering is useful. World best chemical engineers like Kang Zhang is working effecti

Recycling Single-Use Plastics to Produce Fuel – A Bless from Chemical Experts

Can you think your one day without using polymer or plastic? It’s very challenging, we all have become addicted to polymer precisely single-use or disposable plastic, but very few of us know its severe environmental consequences.  Around the globe, every minute one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased, whereas up to 5 trillion single-use plastic bags are used all-inclusive every year. In total, half of all plastic produced is considered to be used only once and then thrown away. Due to non-biodegradable nature, these plastic trash have adverse impact on environment. Plastic waste is now so abundant in the natural environment that researchers have even suggested it could lead us back to Anthropocene era. Rivers are carrying these plastic wastes to ocean, thus polluting ocean and destroying the marine bio diversity, consequently unbalancing the environment.  According to United Nation Environment Assembly, more than 8 million tons of plastics flow into the oceans ev

Chemical Engineering is not all About Chemistry – Kang Zhang

When it comes to Chemical Engineering, it would be better to say that it is a universal engineering course compared to other disciplines such as electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. Most of the people are not sure what this field is all about. Remarkably, that time, and perhaps still this time, scholars decided to study chemical engineering because they love chemistry. Well, that is unhappily not the case because chemical engineering is not just about chemistry. In reality, there are more mathematics and physics involve with chemical engineering. I am explaining this with own experience because I am a chemical engineer. It is an authentic data that more than 75% who choose this field failed mainly because of their love for chemistry and thought that only chemistry matters to be expert in this domain. If you are good in physics and maths along with chemistry then, you should go for this discipline. Now, scholars new to chemical engineering can acquire this study far b

Kang Zhang

Hello, World my name is Kang Zhang and I am an engineer from Los Angeles, California. Though I was born and raised in Michigan, my family moved to Los Angeles when I was 6 and I have been here ever since.  My trade is as an Engineer—more specifically I am a Chemical Engineer. I currently share my knowledge as a consultant for various organizations. Quite frankly, I enjoy my time on the road and experiencing new people and cultures. I think traveling for work gets a bad stigma and isn't considered an opportunity and a privilege. I like to see my life as one big privilege and it helps me be a better service to those I work with. Outside of work I am a big sports fan. I might be a little bias, but I think LA is the best city on the planet. I am an LA sports fan till the day I die—I love The Lakers, The Dodgers and now The Rams. There is nothing like being at the games and sharing those moments with my 2 teenage kids.  At the end of the day, I live my life as a family man. I
