Kang Zhang
Hello, World my name is Kang Zhang and I am an engineer from Los Angeles, California. Though I was born and raised in Michigan, my family moved to Los Angeles when I was 6 and I have been here ever since. My trade is as an Engineer—more specifically I am a Chemical Engineer. I currently share my knowledge as a consultant for various organizations. Quite frankly, I enjoy my time on the road and experiencing new people and cultures. I think traveling for work gets a bad stigma and isn't considered an opportunity and a privilege. I like to see my life as one big privilege and it helps me be a better service to those I work with. I am an LA sports fan till the day I die—I love The Lakers, The Dodgers and now The Rams. There is nothing like being at the games and sharing those moments with my 2 teenage kids. At the end of the day, I live my life as a family m...
Chemical Engineering is not all About Chemistry – Kang Zhang
When it comes to Chemical Engineering, it would be better to say that it is a universal engineering course compared to other disciplines such as electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. Most of the people are not sure what this field is all about. Remarkably, that time, and perhaps still this time, scholars decided to study chemical engineering because they love chemistry. Well, that is unhappily not the case because chemical engineering is not just about chemistry. In reality, there are more mathematics and physics involve with chemical engineering. I am explaining this with own experience because I am a chemical engineer. It is an authentic data that more than 75% who choose this field failed mainly because of their love for chemistry and thought that only chemistry matters to be expert in this domain. If you are good in physics and maths along with chemistry then, you should go for this discipline. Now, scholars new to chemical engineering can acquire this study far b...
